General Motors (GM) is going to cut another 20% of its workforce so that it can meet targeted financial goals. Is anyone surprised? The company said more cuts will take place if car sales continue to worsen over the next few quarters. Some of these cuts are represented by attrition and retirement, but unfortunately lots of people lost their job through this move. GM still has over 30,000 salaried employees in the U.S.
Additionally, the news is not all great for employees that remain with the company. GM will also be reducing other costs that affect remaining staff, including the suspension of its 401k match program, tuition assistance and adoption assistance.
LeaseTrader.com works with a lot of GM customers that want to transfer their GM car lease over to someone else. The car lease transfer program gives people a sorely needed option that they can't find otherwise.
