Recently I had a chat with the VP of Marketing and Communications for LeaseTrader.com. For those of you not in the know LeaseTrader.com
is an online service for buyers and sellers of vehicle leases.
There are thousands of people everyday and even more in this economy that are currently leasing a vehicle and would like to either upgrade or downsize to another which leaves the problem of what to do with the remaining balance of the current lease.
LeaseTrader.com
was created in 1998 when its founder was in a similar situation. He wanted to upgrade to a newer vehicle but had a balance remaining on his current lease. So naturally he went to back to the dealer to see what his options were, and he was unhappy to hear that all of the options basically included having to pay off the remaining balance on his current vehicle lease in order to start another. Many others have run into this situation as well and before companies like LeaseTrader the only other option was to sub-lease a vehicle. Keep in mind however that sub-leasing is an illegal practice and can have bad consequences, because the original owner must retain title and continue to make payments to the financial institution.
So what type of services does LeaseTrader provide? Well if you are currently looking to get out of your vehicle lease you can for very reasonable rates list your vehicle in a database that is viewed by thousands of interested buyers looking take over payments on a current lease.
One thing I really like about LeaseTrader as opposed to some of the other competitors is that they not only are an advertising service that has free browsing for buyers, but they also take care of all other services and paper work necessary to make the transaction simple and smooth. Things like pre-qualifiying buyers with a credit check and paper work assistance can make all the difference in making the deal and not wasting anyones time. This really goes the extra mile and can assure you that your going to have a safe and trouble free transaction.
So if you are currently looking to get out of or get into an auto lease be sure to check out LeaseTrader.com
