Automakers Still Can't Figure Out What Women Want

It's no secret that the auto industry is more or less a baffled boys' club. For decades, automakers have tried to cater to women in ads and marketing and even in the design of vehicles--and they almost always fail. A new survey from LeaseTrader.com points up how much manufacturers still don't get it.
Roadside assistance? Less than 1% of women picked this as a must-have feature. GPS? Only about 13% wanted this. Nearly half respondents thought that sunroofs were the least useful feature on a car. So what are the top three features women want?
1. Fold-down back seats for more storage room
2. Cellphone (Bluetooth) capability
3. MP3, iPod connectivity
